1976 Eaton's last catalogue

14 January, 1976 Eaton’s announces that the 1976 spring-summer catalogue will be the last. My mother weighed parcels and calculated the postage in
Moncton’s catalogue department. I remember the transformation that took place in her when she was first hired. She came alive.

I remember this catalogue cover. I just loved the blue denim and patchwork. I remember thinking that when I grew up and had a daughter, we would dress in matching clothes.
Every time the Eaton's or Sear's catalogue (still do to this day!) I would curl up and look through the entire catalogue, page by page and dream of all the clothes I would like to have, plan out every room with the different furniture, curtains, etc., pick out dishes and appliances. Sigh . . . . happy memories

This would also have been the year that Mom won the trip to the Canary Island which they took in 1977.
